The Foundation throws the kind of nights Jamaica is known for: a benefit in New York, a raffle drawn on a beach, and a guest chef cooking with the sea behind him. Rockhouse, Skylark and Miss Lily’s pay for all of it, so nothing raised is spent on raising it.

The annual benefit

One night at the Public Theater.

Every autumn the Foundation takes over the Public Theater in New York for a dinner, a live auction and a performance. The 2023 evening was the eighteenth of them.

The 2025 benefit raised over USD$300,000, honoured Peter Rose after twenty three years as president of the Foundation, and welcomed Anna Thwaites Wallace as his successor.

Rockhouse, Skylark, Miss Lily’s and their owners underwrite every cost of the evening. Every dollar raised in that room goes to Foundation projects in Western Jamaica.

Can’t make the party?

The benefit is one night a year. The classrooms open every weekday, and a gift made today does exactly the same work as a paddle in the air in October.

The summer raffle

Enter the summer raffle to win a trip for two to Jamaica. That’s right, every summer.

Every USD$50 earns you an entry, and there are ten prizes in all. The draw happens live, in front of everyone, at the Chef Dinner on the Beach Series at Skylark Negril Beach Resort.

Chef Dinner on the Beach Series

Putting the FUN in fundraising.

USD$250 a seat, once or twice a year. A guest chef cooks a family style meal at Miss Lily’s Negril at Skylark, the raffle is drawn before the night is out, and all proceeds benefit the Foundation.
